As some of you know, I used to send out a Fourth of July mixtape, and I loved doing it. I think all the best songs are about independence and fireworks. This is probably because I work with independent artists, and because I am a huge pyromaniac. But let’s not overanalyze… let’s compile a playlist!

Good news and bad news!
The good news is that the patient with Hurler’s Syndrome will receive a transplant! The bad news is it’s not me.
They found “a better match” during the tissue-typing stage, so I go back into the general pool of potential donors.

So Twitter’s a fact of life now. I thought it might be. I never got the hang of Tumblr and am happy it remains hipster paradise. Me? I chose the path more taken, and now here we are in the golden age of Twitter.
